Zipping Across the Old Testament

Zipping Across the Old Testament will take you through the whole Old Testament in 4 months. You will probably need to read about half an hour of text each day. It is quite a challenge so you might want to do it with a group of friends. You could work as a team with each person taking turns and committing themselves to doing a month of Old Testament and then blogging about/ facebooking/ chatting about their experience. Students from Hamilton are hoping to blog their response for a month each, so come join in. Hopefully at the end of 4 months, you would be able to put familiar Old Testament characters in their context and learn more about how amazing God is.

This is how we hope it will go:
November --Feeling around the Wisdom Books
Reading Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Solomon

December --Marvelling at Prophecy
17 books of Prophecy--Major (longer) and Minor (shorter)

January --Adventuring through History
Joshua, Judges, Ruth, Samuel, Kings, Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, Esther

February -- Sinking into the 1st five.
Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy

To blog your response just click on the word comments and select identify yourself either through your gmail account, wordpress, url or anonymous. A box will appear and you can blog away. Remember to click the orange box "publish comments" when you are done.
